Mothell has been acquired by new management after years of limited operation and restricted access.
The property first opened in 1974 as a roadside motel for late arrivals, overnight stays, and travelers passing through after dark. In 2008, the motel was closed for reasons that were never fully explained. Many records, keys, and room files remained on site.
The first phase of reopening will focus on restoring the front office, reviewing room status records, and identifying which areas of the property can safely return to service.
A limited number of rooms are expected to reopen first. Other rooms will remain closed until records, keys, and checkout files have been verified.
